Everything you want is on the other side of the feeling you don’t want to have.
How often have you thought “I’d really like to workout more consistently,” or fill-in-the-blank of anything you’d like to do more consistently.
You make a plan, it sounds great, you think it’s going to work. But then when it comes time to follow through with the plan, you don’t “feel” like it, so you don’t do it.
In order to do anything more consistently, even with a plan, you need to count on not “feeling” like it and doing it anyway.
In an interview with Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, he said,
“There were a lot of days when I didn’t want to get out of bed, but if you look at the greats in any walk of life. The greats do things when they don’t always want to, and that’s the separation.”
They do it anyway, regardless of how they are feeling at the time. Follow through and honor yourself.
